HIROTEC AMERICA Honored by General Motors as a 2009 Supplier of the Year
Auburn Hills, MI., March 24, 2010 – HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc., a member of Hirotec Group, announced today that it is the proud recipient of the 2009 General Motors’ Supplier of the Year Award. Katsu Uno, HIROTEC AMERICA’s CEO, accepted the award during a presentation held on March 11th at the GM Design Dome in Warren, Michigan.

Winning this award six times since 2001 is a tremendous source of pride for Hirotec and our employees, as we work hard to provide world class products and services to General Motors,” said Paul DeMarco, HIROTEC AMERICA’s Executive VP of Operations. This award recognizes Hirotec’s commitment to providing low cost, high quality, flexible, and innovative hemming and assembly equipment for body-in-white closure panels.
The award also recognizes the significant contributions of GM's suppliers in 2009 as part of the company's global product and performance achievements. The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing,engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 76 out of approximately 20,000 suppliers for their excellence throughout 2009. “HIROTEC AMERICA is humbled to be included in this select group of suppliers, and we look forward to continuing to support General Motors globally,” said Katsu Uno, CEO of HIROTEC AMERICA.
