HIROTEC AMERICA Honored by General Motors as a 2008 Supplier of the Year
Auburn Hills, MI., June 17, 2009 – HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc., a member of Hirotec Group was named as a General Motors Global Supplier of the Year for its world class hemming technology and industry leading technical support. Hirotec Corporation, founding member of the Hirotec Group was also honored as a General Motors Global Supplier of the Year for its excellence in supplying Class A closure parts and its support of General Motors Worldwide operations. The awards were given during ceremonies on Friday, June 5th at the General Motors Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
This award is a tribute to the Best of the Best suppliers to General Motors and HIROTEC AMERICA is part of this elite group. “HIROTEC AMERICA’s initiative is to continue to be the industry leader in providing high quality and low cost closure hemming and manufacturing solutions,” said Jim Toeniskoetter, HIROTEC AMERICA’s President and COO.
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 99 suppliers for their excellence throughout 2008.
